Balancing Work and Treatment

Balancing Work and Treatment

Balancing work and treatment can be complex. If you’re currently examining your different treatment options and aren’t sure which one is the right choice for you, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s go over some things to think about if you’re going to continue working while you’re in treatment.

Work and Treatment

Continuing to work while you’re in treatment may or may not be possible. This often depends on many different factors and the treatment center you’re going to be receiving support from. Below are some things to keep in mind if this is your goal and how you’re going to be beginning your recovery.

Full Transparency

One of the most important things to think about is being honest with your treatment team. If you’re going to be continuing to work while you’re in treatment, you should be very clear with your treatment team about this plan. They’ll be able to provide you with individualized advice and make sure that you’re on the right track.

Inpatient Treatment

If you’re thinking about both work and treatment, then inpatient treatment may not be the right option for you. It will most likely be very difficult to continue working while in inpatient treatment. If you think that inpatient treatment is the right choice for you, consider asking your work if there’s a way that you could get some extended time off.

If you’re considering inpatient treatment, we’d love to share more information with you about the inpatient options that we offer our clients who are beginning treatment.
