
Courtney Gwyn - Marriage & Family Therapist
Courtney Gwyn is a dedicated Marriage & Family Therapist registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University.
Courtney’s clinical training includes work at the Pasadena Mental Health Center, where he provided individual and family therapy and facilitated adolescent groups for the First Offender Program in collaboration with the Pasadena Police Department. He also spent a year at the Cancer Support Community, co-facilitating support groups and providing individual counseling for clients facing serious illness.
With a background in Existential-Humanistic Psychology and extensive experience in substance dependence treatment, Courtney brings a unique depth of understanding to his work. His diverse professional journey—including careers as a Wall Street bond dealer and a commercial fisherman—has given him a broad perspective on life’s challenges. He is passionate about guiding individuals toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and fulfillment, offering a collaborative and compassionate approach to healing and personal growth.
